July Monthly Update

I feel like I blinked and it was suddenly July. Even more scary—the year is half over.

Personally, I’m not a huge fan of summer. The sun and I aren’t really on good terms, and don’t get me started on the bugs. I’ll take AC and cozy indoor weather any day.

June recap:

Yikes. I looked back to discover I only read two new books last month. However, I did re-read a few favorites as I (still) wait for the library hold times to not be so ridiculous. Hopefully I’ll find some new reads this month! You can see all my past reads/reviews here.

No new book releases happened last month, which contributed to the slow-yet-fast-feel of the month going by. Since Star Collapsed came out at the end of May, I did spend the first week reaching out to my ARC reviewers to get those early reviews in.

I did celebrate one year of If Found, Do Not Return, my small town romance novel. You can learn more about it in this blog post.

New music:

Since music is one of my love languages, I thought I’d share a few new tunes I found this month:

  • My Poor Heart - Andrew Belle

  • Serenade - BANNERS

  • Colorado - Milky Chance

  • Games - Tessa Violet & lovelytheband

Writing:

Kindle Vella is finally coming! We know it’s going to be available late July, and this is your chance to read my new epic romantic fantasy The Curse of Broken Shadows! The chapters will be released every Friday until the book is complete. If you like Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas, From Blood and Ash by Jennifer L Armentrout, and Shadow & Bone by Leigh Bardugo, you’ll like this book! You can read the first two chapters here and join the conversation on Discord here.

Be sure to hop on my newsletter so you don’t miss those links when they finally launch!

Staying updated:

Every Friday, you can find a new blog post here on my website. You can also catch up on all my old posts here.

Discord is my new hangout space! I would love to get some more interaction there - which is why I’m opening it up to everyone. We can chat all things books, cats, and random memes.

I’m really active on Instagram! I post my book reviews and also some behind the scenes details for my books during the week.

Tumblr is not dead for writers! I like to post writing memes and advice plus participate in a few tag games.

As always, my newsletter is the best place to get all of these updates and never miss a link or book release. I send out an email on Fridays with the best details and some fun stories!

Until next week!
