New Page: Book Reviews

I have been on an absolute frenzy when it comes to reading books these last few months. I’ve already crushed over 45 books (read for the first time) and I’ve even had the chance to re-read a few while I wait for my library holds to become available!

Most of the reviews I post are on Amazon, Goodreads, and Instagram, but I have decided to make a page here on my website for those reviews as well - so you can see what I’m reading and maybe find a few books you might be interested in as well!

Check out the book review page for all of the books, but here are a few of my favorites so far:

House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J Maas ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️(5/5)

This might be my new favorite book. Of all time. And I almost didn’t keep reading. The first few chapters were painfully slow. The characters felt bland and it took me two days before I could finally get into the story. But the world building was incredible. The banter was absolutely delicious. The mystery, emotion, and climactic scenes had me in tears, screaming, laughing, and breaking. It has been a long time since I’ve actually cried at a character death in a book. Bryce was incredible as a main character, and Hunt was the perfect support. Somehow, even with an 800 page book, I still wanted it to be longer. I wanted more of Ruhn and Hypaxia and even Bryce’s parents. There’s so much more to explore and it’s an incredible set up.

The Song of the Marked by SM Gaither
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️(5/5)

Could not put it down. There was always that mystery playing in the back of my head wondering about Cas - which helped push me through the individual adventures. Her growth and discovery was enticing at every turn, and oh boy, that twist. Plus, who can turn down a good banter (and flirting) between enemies? I'm not even stopping. Book 2, here I come.

Beneath Black Sails
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️(5/5)

Absolutely delicious This is the first adventure at sea book I’ve ever picked up, and now I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to pick another one up because this was just too perfect. How do you put down this perfect treasure-hunting magic adventure? Goo…

This is the first adventure at sea book I’ve ever picked up, and now I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to pick another one up because this was just too perfect. How do you put down this perfect treasure-hunting magic adventure? Good gods, and the enemies to lovers romance... this is what all pirate stories need to be about.
Can’t wait to read the next.
